I never formally introduced our new Student and Family Support Specialist, Miss Jessilyn Tunny. Miss Tunny graduated from Jac-Cen-Del in 2014. She has a Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. Jessilyn is working with students in both the elementary and high school. She has already made great relationships with students. We are so excited that she has joined our team!
We also want to wish Miss Kayla Borgman good luck as she moves on in finishing her education in Speech Therapy! We have loved having her work with Miss Anna.
Below you will find the ILEARN schedule for grades 3-6. ILEARN is Indiana's online computer-adaptive assessment designed to measure your child's proficiency of the Indiana Academic Standards. While there is no grade on this assessment, it is very important that your child do their best so that we can monitor how our students are learning. This helps us to monitor the success of our curriculum and to see what areas that may need addressed. It also helps teachers to gear their instruction at the beginning of next year towards students' needs and it's mandated by the state. Please help us to relay to your child to do his/her best, as they should do in all of their education. The schedule will help you in case you have to schedule appointments, etc. It makes is so much easier for us and your child to be at school and take the tests with the rest of the class rather than have to make them up and possibly have multiple tests in a day. We really do appreciate your support with this!
