Welcome Back!
I hope you all enjoyed time with your children. I know when those beautiful faces came back into the building Monday morning, my heart was happy! They were missed! The next two months will be very busy and go way too quickly!
ILEARN will be starting April 18. I will put the schedule of when grade levels will be taking it in the next newsletter. It's very important for students to be here so we don't have to take them out of class to make the tests up.
There will be field trips starting to happen soon! This is always a fun time for everyone. Just a reminder as per the Student Handbook, DOJO percentages will be taken into consideration for participation of field trips. Students are supposed to have at least an 80% to go on field trips. This may be waived if the student has shown a significant improvement over a period of time. This will be a decision made with the teachers and myself. If a student is not making good choices at school on a consistent basis, then they will not be attending field trips. Students that go on field trips are expected to be on their best behavior at all times. Some field trips chaperones will be needed and some will not need them. Be watching for information from you child's teacher.
This month will be focusing on the character trait of "Tolerance".Tolerance means accepting others who may be different than you in their race, beliefs, culture, religion, and/or habits. Tolerance is important because no two people are the same in this world, so we are going to come across many difference in our lives. We don't have to agree, but sometimes need to show tolerance.
Have a Blessed Weekend!
Mrs. Budd
