Principal's Corner
Welcome to December! I can't believe the end of the semester is nearing! December always brings a lot of excitement into an elementary building and we welcome it!
Our wonderful cafeteria staff will be preparing a Christmas Morning Brunch for lunch this year on Dec. 12. We encourage all students to wear their jammies or red and green on this day. I know these ladies will have the cafeteria looking so festive! This meal is free to all students as the cafeteria's gift to all students!
Classes will be having their Christmas parties on Tuesday, Dec. 20. Your child's teacher should be sharing information about individual parties.
The car tags should have been all distributed. This is going very well so far for those that are car riders! Thank you to all parents/guardians in car line that are supporting this safety change. You all ROCK!
I have been conferencing with some students that are below an 80% on their 9 weeks DOJO. As in the handbook, students need to be at and 80% to attend field trips and/or monthly DOJO celebrations. We want all students to be able to participate. If your child is one that I am conferencing with, they will be bringing a Positive Choice contract home for you to review. The goal is for them to show improvement in their choices here at school so they can participate.
On the note of DOJO, we will be celebrating all students that are maintaining a 90% or higher on their DOJO. These are students that are continually making positive choices and following those High Five Expectations on a regular basis. That is a huge accomplishment and we feel they need to be recognized. There is a special celebration being planned in January for these students. Stay tuned for more information!
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Budd
